2-D barcode mobile boarding pass

American Airlines had just announced that travelers departing from selected airports may now receive boarding passes on their mobile phones or PDAs instead of the regular paper boarding pass at check-in. The Airline is rolling out the program in partnership with the United States Transportation Security Administration, and it will extend the initiative to more U.S. airports if the trial proves successful.

To use the mobile boarding pass option, customers must have an active email address where their boarding pass will be sent to their web-enabled mobile device. Boarding time will be alot faster and efficient in the future.
