The answer is simple. China has decided to simplify the entry procedure from next month. The Guardian's Breaking News section has just announced that beginning next month visitors to China will no longer need to fill out health declaration forms to enter China. In addition to this, beginning on February 1, 2008, "people with no goods to declare will not have to fill in customs forms when either leaving or arriving."Foreign passengers would still need to fill in the entry form but surely this is going to be a great news for everybody as immigration and custom clearance will be more efficient and faster.
